Simplicity

It is not simple to write about simplicity.

Scripture says that to enter into the kingdom of God we must become like children. In other words, we enter into the kingdom with a child-like faith. Simple faith.

Unfortunately, most of us are not simple people. However here are a few simple observations:

It is better to do the right thing than talk about the right thing.

I believe that a monk with nothing but a pure heart is richer than an internet billionaire.

What we sow, we reap, and then some.

An experience with Christ is worth more than all the recognition and honor that the world can offer.

Faith is better than doubt.

A true love has more worth than diamonds and gold.

Kindness is never outdated.

Encouragement and hope are always approriate.

It is better to loose with Christ and to die than it is to win with Satan and live.

Friendship is to be cherished.

You should keep your word.

Life is not about pleasure.

We are surrounded by beauty if we have the eyes to see it.

Simplicity is better than complexity.

It is better to give than to receive.

The universe is not about us.

When we worship we recognize that God is at the center of the universe.

It is good to be kind.

If we say we love God, we would do well to love others.

It is good to focus on essentials.

God is love.

God does love us.

These are simple thoughts from a simple man for a complex time.

Grow old; grow simple.
