Off to See the Wizard-Part 2

Well it was off to see the Wizard, the Emerald Palace and the Emerald Prince. We picked up Babybelle and all of us drove up the yellow brick road to Northern Misery.

It was a good visit. The emerald prince was elated to see both Princessbelle and Babybelle. We did the slots winning all kinds of pie, sandwiches and drinks. Everytime we deposited money into the machines we won something.

Then it was off to an afternoon of cards. Princessbelle is very, very fast in playing slap jack, winning almost all hands. It is not a game you play for money with Princessbelle or you will go home broke.

Then there were games of go fish. Babybelle is pretty good at fish and both Babybelle, Prinessbelle, Brokerbelle and the Emerald Prince all beat HarleyDad pretty good many times.

Then we had photos made. Three sets. That is when a strange thing happened. We had three sets made. One set was the family with the Emerald Prince. The second set was the Emerald Prince and Princessbelle and the third set was Babybelle and the Emerald Prince. They brought the three pictures to the table (at the Emerald Palace, they take the photos with their digital camera) and HarleyDad noticed that the Emerald Prince had something that looked like a Halo behind his head . At first I thought it was something behind the head of the Emerald Prince on the wall but there was nothing on the picture covering the wall where the Emerald Prince stood. Three photos, three halos. All behind the head of the Emerald Prince. The Emerald Prince stood in a different place in each picture and in each he was the only in the group who had one.

Now HarleyDad quickly noticed that he did not have one when he was in the Photo with the Emerald Prince. Hey, I want one of those I said. But no doing-no halo for HarleyDad.

Now we knew the Emerald Prince was doing a lot better-but, hey, that much better.

Well, enough about halos. I have kept the mysterious pictures. In honor of the event, all of us decided that we make regular religious pilgrimages to the Emerald Palace. While there we will visit with the Emerald Prince and play the slots, talk with the Muchkins, etc., etc.

I talked with one of the inmates. He was the one running the camera and checking out the card decks. He was reading Experiencing God by Blackaby. This is a great religious study course. He said that their course had begun with 8o men but was now down to 47 due to the fact that it was considered to be hard by some of the men. He stated that the study had made a great difference in his life. I looked into his eyes and I believe he was telling the truth.

Interesting. These days, the Spirit of God seems to be as active in prisons as in churches. I bet I don't get any halos if I take pictures in church this morning. Not even if I stay out of them. Interesting.
