The Rosary

Rosary

My camera is slung around my neck
Like the crucifix
Of the penitent on pilgrimage.

My fingers touch the controls
Like the faithful
touch the beads of the rosary.

I seek the face of God
In pictures of nature
And in the face of men and women.

For both people
And nature are His creation
Bearing the mark of his hand.

Sunrises and Sunsets
They are His gift to us
Rainbows his divine promise.

And His gifts are hidden in you
Waiting to be revealed
In the morning and evening

Like the sunrises and sunsets
There for a few moments
Beautiful in the unfolding

Breathtaking in Revelation
Exploding in glory
An expression of love.
