The Rites of Spring

Yesterday was the first harbinger of Spring. Our office marks it by having our first Spring Outing which is called "FIRE DRILL". Alarms go off and our employees gleefully scamper outside for the rites of Spring. We stand letting the sunshine warm us and melt away the cobwebs and snow of a long but fairly benign winter. The concrete pavement of our driveways reflect back the sun causing us to be in some large abnormal, outside tanning booth. We stand around on company time glad to be away from the somber winter glow of computers that provide next to no warmth in the winter and have that rarest of experiences, pleasant conversation.

It is an outdoor cocktail party with the elixir of God's beauty. HarleyDad soon meanders away to contemplate the water fowel. They rejoice too knowing that Spring is here. In Ozarklandia this means that there is one more snow hidden sometime in March and then it is all over until next year. One of the knowledgeable attorneys warns HarleyDad that it is mating season and that he needs to be careful as he photographs the geese. HarleyDad responds that he is not worried because he is not a goose. So he goes down and takes a gander.

The Rites of Spring have begun.

Above are some pictures.

good pun, Daddy. Next thing, somebody will find your blog by doing a google search for "gay gooseblanking", and you'll be all, "What?!"
