The War against Terror-An Idea

In the U.S. many states have laws that you can not make money from your crime.

In short, if you murder someone, and then you write a book about it that makes money, that money is forfeited to the victims of the crime.

Rewards have been made to Islamic "martyrs" (killers in my opinion, often killing their fellow believers in Islam). These rewards often constitute payments to the families of those who strap the explosives to themselves.

It seems to me that laws should be passed by both the U.S. and any allies we may have that cause these payments to be forfeited to the families of the victims. Further any institutions that facilitate the transfer of these funds would be subject to penalty. Further, any person who facilitated funds for the payment to the families of killers would be subject to penalty as well.

Those funds instead would be sent to the families of the victims.

Of course, funds could be transferred through Islamic banks in Islamic countries. However countries that are targets of the extremists, might be willing to cooperate.

At any rate, the concept is to wage economic warfare against the terrorists and to remove the monetary incentive for killing yourself .

Just an idea.

I suspect if exteme Christians were strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up Islamic holy places, retribution in an Islamic country might be far greater than just cutting off economic benefits.
