Valentine's Dance

Princessbelle has been sick most of the week. She was well enough to return to school on Thursday and Friday.

Princessbelle was asked to attend the Valentine's Dance by a boy in church who is in her class at school and who she has known for a number of years. She said, after checking, that she would go with him- but only as a friend. His mother took them and we picked them up. She received a red rose, which we put into water for her.

Well she was perturbed after the dance because the boy had evidently told some other people that Princessbelle was his girlfriend when she wasn't. They had their pictures taken which also bothered her because she said now he can "prove it by the picture."

It is not easy being a young person going through puberty. It never has been. I hope we can show love and compassion as we go through these years.

Kids are real people. Their feelings are real.
