Brokerbelle tells me the "rest of the story." The marker commemorates the son of the doctor who delivered my youngest son into the world. The doctor's son and his best friend evidently laid down on the tracks thinking that the train would run over them and they would be safe. Unfortunately they were wrong. Great grief came to two families in that year, may God comfort them. The loss does not disappear, it continues. So there is much more to the story than I knew. And the doctor was connected to our family through the birth of Sparkie. HarleyDad
