Snow

Snow is somewhat like grace and love. Grace is unmerited favor. We did not ask for snow or deserve it. We got the snow as a gift from God. For years I lived in a part of our country that had only two seasons. Here there are four and I am thankful for all four.

Love covers a multitude of sins, according to Scripture. So does snow. Areas that are not pretty and are muddy are suddenly covered with the pure whiteness of snow. That is how love and grace work. We do not deserve its covering; however through the love and grace of God, our sins are suddenly white as snow. Just as the blood of the sacrificial lamb covered the Ark of the Covenant, the love and grace of God covers us.
