Karate Tournament

Princessbelle is a fighter. She has had to be. Yesterday was a good day for Princessbelle.

In her division she was ranked first in the 2005 Tournaments for Kata and Fighting. She earned First in the January 2006 Tournament for Kata and Fighting and took Grand Champion for Kata.

It took 3 of us to carry out her trophies.

Sensei was pleased. He had taught her well--but there is still much to learn.

I was particularly pleased to see how Princessbelle took a bad hit and still went on to win, and how she treated the others after the win exhibiting her gift of encouraging people. Things like this are what really make a parent proud.

Princessbelle's friend Jessica who is from another dojo and in a slightly younger division also won in fighting.

HarleyDad is a Karate Dad and enjoys seeing his daughter fight and win. Brokerbelle however impugned HarleyDad's manhood yesterday and proclaimed him to be a "Soccer Mom."

Well, I will obviously need to get myself under control. Now where do you get those bumper stickers that say: "My Daughter is a Karate Honor Student?"
