Off to See the Wizard

Well, we are off to visit the Emerald Prince. As our regular readers know the Emerald Prince is the transformed and renewed and everbetter Frog Prince. The Emerald Prince is an honored guest of the State of Misery and resides in the Emerald Palace in the Northern Part of the State. The Emerald Palace is surrounded by barbed wire in order to keep out the many people of the State who desire to reside there. With free room and board (three hots and a cot) there are many who desire to get there. However entry is only by invitation and the guest list of those desiring to visit is restricted. If your name is not on the list you don't get in.

However, fortunately, the name of HarleyDad, Brokerbelle and Princessbelle are on the short list. This however will be the first visit for BabyBelle. BabyBelle is six and she will get to see the Emerald Prince for the first time in a while. BabyBelle is a smart young lady and is fairly normal , even above normal.

So off to the Emerald Palace we shall all go on Saturday. There we shall all visit the Emerald Prince and play the slots. We go in with a roll of quarters and feed the machines that are lined up at the Emerald Palace. If you hit the jackpot, the slot machine dispenses a softdrink or a sandwich or popcorn.

It will be fun. It will be great to see the Emerald Prince. When we go we will not be able to see the Wizard who runs the Emerald Palace. But that is OK . He and his servants, very large Munchkens, will be observing us. They all dress up in Khaki and sing Munchken songs. It is all quite jolly.

I think someone did a stage play about all of this. It is entitled "Wicked. " Our grandaughter, TaytheMagnificent, daughter of the ImpQueen, loves "Wicked " and has danced and sung her way through the play on a number of occasions. Tay is like Athena who was born by leaping forth from the brow of Zeus. So, Tay, leaped forth from the brow of her mother the divine, ImpQueen displaying all the high Mensa like intelligence of her mother. We are told that Tay is getting a $250 writing prize from a venerable Ozarklandia organization. Sorry Tay we can not attend this time.

Our invitation to go to the Emerald Palace is by a gilt invitation from the Wizard and it is a command performance long awaited; however our best wishes are with you.
