Sitting around a lunch table. There were three of us. All attorneys. Comparing notes, we were all Methodists. We had all started life as Baptists.
What happened?
We had all been involved in one church fight or another. Often centering around the purity of the faith.
All of us at one time or another had decided that we would rather "switch than fight."
All of us had drifted toward the Methodist denomination who generally are a peaceable people.
That is really something. Three attorneys who want to be peaceable.
Kindness and peace go a long way these days! I remember my brother saying that "he had only one more church fight in him."
I don't even have that!
