Western Missouri Recreational Center

On Saturday, the family headed out to the Western Missouri Recreational Center to visit the Emerald Prince. HarleyDad, Brokerbelle and Shan Torah made the pilgrimmage to this hot vacation spot. We enjoyed its beautiful blue roof (sort of a blue roof inn) . We call it the Emerald Palace. It is surrounded by barbed wire to keep the undesirables out. Entrance is made pass immaculate grey clad guards who are there to keep unwholesome things out. It purports to be a drug free recreational area.

However, getting past security was a challenge. Shan Tora was dressed in a bright blue pants outfit with a lovely blue sequine belt. Immediately upon entrance, security informed her that she was likely to set off a riot. So it was off to the local store of haute culture, Wal-Mart, to get more appropriate (less riot provoking) clothing. We obtained a smock to go over the top and a very loose T-shirt. She tried the smock first. She was informed by the guardians that because it was sleeveless that riots were still a 96 3/4% probability. By then switching into the loosefitting T-shirt, the riot police were able to unload their riot guns and the possibility of a riot dropped to 31 1/2 %.

Finally, we got Shan Tora covered up enough for entrance into the Emerald Palace.

Now that a riot had been narrowly diverted, we passed underneath the magic wand of the guest staff, had our hand stamped and proceded through double locked security gates. Evidently you have your hand stamped to keep the visitors from trying to stay on the premises and enjoy the amenities of the Emerald Palace.

So being stamped like guests at White Water, we proceded through to visit the Emerald Prince. We had a great time visiting with the Emerald Prince and he is doing just outstanding there.

After visiting we had a wonderful repast. One of the highlights is experiencing the "Big Az Cheese Burger." Its motto is "If you ain't had a Big Az, you never lived." The Big Az Cheese Burger is so popular, that when you get in instead of visiting and hugging your guest, you make a run for the vending machine and get yourself a "Big Az." If you are rich, you get a "Big Az" for two.

Later on at lunch, another visitor came over to me and said "Where did you get your Big Az."

The Emerald Palace has beautiful gardens so after our visit with the Prince we proceded to the garden for a walk and some recreation. After we had visited the gardens we had our pictures taken there to commemorate the visit.

We completed our visit by purchasing some Emerald Palace coin of the realm which we presented to the Emerald Prince as a thank offerring for letting us visit.

After our visit, which was a great one, we returned to Ozarklandia. Pictures are shown above.
